Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort. For whoever comforts us in all our tribulations, we may be able to comfort those in any trouble. With the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

After a day at work, it feels good to go home and take a nice hot shower or bath. To sit down on a nice recliner. Or to lay down on a soft mattress. It is comforting to us. In the same way, our words can comfort someone that is hurting or feeling down. We can use warm and gentle words to soothe someone who has just hurt themselves.
God our Father is the God of comfort; He is always there to help us through our troubled times. Look to God for those warm and gentle words that you are seeking. You should be someone who can pass that assurance, that comfort to others who need it most.
