More Precious The Silver and Goal 09/19/2020

Greeting Brothers and Sisters grace and peace to you in the name of God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. I thank God for you and for the privilege to share with you his word. Lord lead me and guide me that I will be able to do and say that which you will have me to say, thank you, Lord, Amen

One day Peter and John were going up to the temple at the time of prayer—at three in the afternoon. Now a man who was lame from birth was being carried to the temple gate called Beautiful, where he was put every day to beg from those going into the temple courts. When he saw Peter and John about to enter, he asked them for money. Peter looked straight at him, as did John. Then Peter said, “Look at us!” So the man gave them his attention, expecting to get something from them.
Then Peter said, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.” Taking him by the right hand, he helped him up, and instantly the man’s feet and ankles became strong. He jumped to his feet and began to walk. Then he went with them into the temple courts, walking and jumping, and praising God. When all the people saw him walking and praising God, they recognized him as the same man who used to sit begging at the temple gate called Beautiful, and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him. (

PRAISING GOD: often in life, we place value on personal possessions, on materialistic objects, on money, cars, clothing, and so on. Not to say that there is no value in these. We need clothing, homes to live in, we need money to trade for goods , such as food as well as clothing and transportation. But there are those possessions we place value on that we don’t really need. It is not enough to have enough money to pay for the necessities in life. We want more, lots of it, above all. We want it so bad that we don’t see what we really need. Even though we don’t know what we really need. But God, He knows exactly what we need.

as Peter and John were going to the temple they came upon a man who was lame. The lame man asked them for money. This shows you something we see every day. People who are in need of help. Some of them are disabled and can’t do for themselves so they come out and ask others for help. Some of them are fully able so we think but if they ask maybe they do need it. Maybe if there is someone who is disabled we should help them without their having to come out and beg. But even those who are in need sometimes don’t realize what it is that they really need. Maybe the reason they don’t ask for it because they believe it to be impossible to receive. But God who is rich in mercy knows exactly what we need.

Peter looked straight at him, as did John. Then Peter said, “Look at us!” So the man gave them his attention, expecting to get something from them.

We Must Do what God tell us to do.

Peter told the man to look at him, sometimes when you want things from God He will tell you what you have to do. At the wedding, Mary Jesus’s mother asked him to make some wine. Then she told the servants to do what he says, as a result, He made the best wine they ever had. Peter told the man silver and goal I have non but what I do have I give to you, He helped him up and said walk, and instantly this man who was lame from birth walked, Amen.

Then he went with them into the temple courts, walking and jumping, and praising God. When all the people saw him walking and praising God, they recognized him as the same man who used to sit begging at the temple gate called Beautiful, and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.

We should be thanking God.

This man who was lame from birth received from God something he had not expected, and he thought he would never receive, something that is more valuable than silver and goal the ability to walk. He did something people don’t usually do. We should be thankful to God for all we have. We should be thanking God that we have jobs, or a dwelling place, or for our needs being met. We need to be praising God.

When all the people saw him walking and praising God, they recognized him as the same man who used to sit begging at the temple gate called Beautiful, and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.

The people were amazed when they saw the man and wondered what had happened they knew he was the lame man, they stared at Peter and John. Peter said why are you staring at us as if we did this to him of our own godly power?

God did this, the God of our Fathers who has glorified  His Servant Jesus who you handed over to be killed and disowned him before Pilot even though he wanted to set Him free you wanted a murderer in his place. You killed the author of life but God raised him from the dead, by faith in the name of Jesus this man was made strong. It is Jesus’s name and faith that comes through him that completely healed this man.

God knows that you need Jesus
For Moses said, ‘The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your own people; you must listen to everything he tells you. Anyone who does not listen to him will be completely cut off from their people.’God knows that you acted in ignorance just as your leaders,(Acts 3:22).  but this is how God fulfilled what He had foretold through His Prophets, That the Messiah would have to suffer. But God in His grace and mercy offer to you Salvation that comes through faith in His Son and not to you only but to who so ever Will come let Him come. Repent and be baptized. We have basic needs all of which God supply us with, air, water, food, clothing, and good health in order to sustain our physical life. God knows that we need Jesus not only to be successful presently in life, but to gain forgiveness from God and receive eternal life. God has provided for you the way and it is found in His Son. Who  so ever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but shall have everlasting life.
