A Loophole to Blessings
Greeting Brothers and Sisters, may you continue being intrinsically embedded in the everlasting love of God. I thank God for you, for the inspiration that I have received from your interest in the truth. Know all truth comes from God. Amen!!! I pray that you are wearing the full armor of God for the enemy is on the move and desires to take you by surprise. The enemy is cunning and is going to attack you on every level of your life. There is absolutely nothing he will not do to bring you down. He will take you unawares.
Since we live in this world, we take on some of the characteristics of this age. A majority of people in this age desires everything to be easy. I wish that Christians were not like this, but the truth of the matter is many of us are. We want everything to be easy with no self- denial. Many of us don’t want any spiritual exercise at all. We want God to bless us, but we don’t want to do anything God wants.
(Prayer).
On the third day, there was a wedding at Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. Jesus also was invited to the wedding with his disciples. When the wine ran out, the mother of Jesus said to him, “They have no wine.” And Jesus said to her, “Woman, what does this have to do with me? My hour has not yet come.” His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.”
Now there were six stone water jars there for the Jewish rites of purification, each holding twenty or thirty gallons. Jesus said to the servants, “Fill the jars with water.” And they filled them up to the brim. And he said to them, “Now draw some out and take it to the master of the feast.” So they took it. When the master of the feast tasted the water now become wine and did not know where it came from (though the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom and said to him, “Everyone serves the good wine first, and when people have drunk freely, then the poor wine. But you have kept the good wine until now.”(John 2:1-10).
We don’t want to pray
God’s word is clear as to the believer’s duty to pray. Paul tells us to pray continually, and give thanks to God in all circumstances: for this is the will of God (1 Thes:5:17-18). Jesus told His disciples “we should pray and not give up”(Luke 18:1). If human judges that don’t know God can after continually receiving a request to give justice, finally deliver justice. Don’t you know that our God the Judge of the universe will answer the prayers of his chosen? Amen!. We complain that God doesn’t answer our prayer, however many of us don’t want to pray.
Satan whispers to you that you don’t need to pray, and as a result, spiritual strongholds are broken down. There are blessings that God gives to all creation and it comes through nature. Now for those who believe that they have never been blessed by God, this statement puts that to rest. There are blessings we receive just because we are reconciled to God and we have been adopted as His children, Due to this fact, God is our Father, and as a Good Father, He blesses His children with special blessings from time to time, Just because He wants to. And then there are blessings that come as a result of obedience. Prayer is the most important privilege we have been given, enabling us to communicate directly with the person that issues the blessings. We don’t want to come to midweek bible study or prayer service. For some reason, we feel that isn’t necessary. We have come to the conclusion that it isn’t important. The study of God’s word is how you get to know God. This is how you learn how to please God, and how you learn how to have a relationship with God, a rich and close relationship with God. It should be our desire to want to know as much about God as we possibly can.
We don’t want to read God’s Word
The word of God should be desired, just like newborn babies, crave milk, you should crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation (1 Peter 2:2).
God’s word is to be a lamp and a light to guide us in all righteousness (Ps 119:105). God gives us the direction we are to go, through His word.
We should be like the Bereans who were of noble character. They received the word of God with eagerness, and they examined what they heard from the scriptures every day to see what Paul said was true (Acts 17:11).
- We don’t want to yield to the will of God.
God has redeemed us, wants us to serve Him. God wants us to count ourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus. If we allow sin to have its way in our bodies, we will obey the evil desires that it produces in our flesh. We must not allow sin to be the rule in life to the extent that our obedience to it leads us into wickedness. But we should offer ourselves to God knowing that He has brought us from death which is the penalty of our sin to eternal life in Jesus Christ. God desires that we offer every part of ourselves to Him as instruments of righteousness and no longer allow sin to be masters in our lives. We are no longer ruled under the law but under grace.
- This is reasonable to all who are saved
When you consider all that God has done for you through His great mercy, you should offer yourself as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God. This is your true worship. Don’t allow yourselves to be conformed to the pattern of this world. Allow God’s word to transform you by renewing your mind. In doing so you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is. His good and perfect will (Roman 12:2).
We don’t want to attend Church
God’s word is plain, And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the day of the Lord drawing near. (Heb. 10:24,25). When we come together to worship God, we encourage one another, we feel good knowing that we along with others believe in and worship our great God. We are encouraged by one another, in love, and good works. Knowing that it pleases God.
It is easy to get into the habit of neglecting to meet together. Satan gives you all types of excuses. You are tired and need rest, you have to go to work tomorrow, just take it easy God understands, you can always go next week. When you do it once, you feel guilty, when you do it twice you feel less guilty, the third even less, the fourth or fifth time, you don’t feel bad at all. Satan blinds the mind of your spiritual needs, he doesn’t want you to know or even think about your spiritual needs.
There is much value in meeting with God’s people, at the house of the Lord. When we meet together, we come into the presence of the Lord and have fellowship with one another. For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.”( Matthew 18:20).
Finally: Obedience to any command of God, brings blessing. When you are doing what God wants you to do it pleases God and God blesses you. You must be obedient to God’s command not only is it the right thing to do considering what God has done for us, but it is good for you, in more than one way, it is for you that God gives direction, the most wonderful thing about it is that as a result, God blesses you. When you obey God you are saying that you believe God, that you are trusting God, and this is pleasing to God. God told many men to do something that they didn’t understand why, or even how obeying this command could possibly achieve the outcome God intended, Like the walls of Jericho. Or Jesus turning water into wine. In the book of Acts, Jesus gave a command to his disciples, and while staying with them he ordered them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise of the Father, which, he said, “you heard from me; for John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now. When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place. And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. And divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance (Acts 2:1-4). If the disciples had not obeyed Jesus they would not have received this blessing.
Is there some reason you don’t want to receive the gift that God wants to give you? Are you afraid for some unknown reason? Are you afraid to live forever in peace with God and men with joy, and love, and kindness, and freedom? Can you feel God calling you? Do you hear Satan saying that you will be giving up something you don’t really have? Don’t listen to him. He is trying to discourage you by saying ” people will be looking at you, he doesn’t want you to know that He knows God, and He forfeited his life along with millions of others that followed him. If he can only stop you from trusting God, he will win your soul to suffer the same condemnation and retribution God has in store for Him. You don’t have to suffer such a fate. All you have to do is Believe that God sent His only begotten Son so that whosoever believe in Him shall not perish but shall have everlasting life (John 3:16). There is no loophole, there is no shortcut, there is only one way. Believe today, tomorrow may be too late. Amen!
Thank You, Lord, all glory and praises are to you, In Jesus name Amen!!!
